Dr. Kafeel Khan has been arrested in child deaths.

Gorakhpur: In the matter of the death of children due to the lack of oxygen in the BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, the chief of the Department has been arrested. Kafeel Khan has been arrested, due to lack of oxygen on 10th and 11th August, sixteen children died in the hospital. During this time, Kafeel Khan had given a lot of praise but later he was removed from the post of NICU chief.

The action was taken on Dr. Kafeel because he was practicing private hospital while being a government doctor. While they had given affidavit for not doing private practice while joining government jobs.

Dr. Shabita Khan is among 7 people who named in a case registered over the death of the 30 children within 48 hours on August 10 and 11 at the BRD Medical College.

Dr. Shabita Khan, wife of Kafeel Ahmed runs MEDISPRING CHILDREN HOSPITAL in Gorakhpur. There are allegations that Dr. Kafeel is fully connected to his wife's hospital while working as a government hospital and continued practicing there.

After the incident, a discussion of allegations of a rape against him in 2015 was started.
