SRINAGAR: An unnamed terrorist was gotten rid of in a violent gun battle with the security forces in the opaque forests of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

 According to the news from Zee media, The armed forces had earlier launched a very big search operation in the forest area of Trehgam in Kupwara . Indian forces following specific information about the presence of terrorists attacked the spot.

 According to the leading news agency of South Asia One terrorist was killed in the exchange of fire between the two sides, a senior official said. However, it is yet to be finding out as to which terror group the slain militants had connections.

As per the news of  ANI, The encounter in Kupwara is over now.

Zee news reported that in a related incident, an army patrol party was attacked with a grenade in Shopian's Ahgam, in which One Army personnel was injured in the incident.

The whole area has been cordoned off and a search operation has been started.
