Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu said in Bhagavad Gita, “Whenever there is a threat to Dharma, I incarnate to destroy the wicked and protect the Dharma”. As per this assurance, Kalki Avatar, the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu will descend on the earth to put an end to the evils of the age. Here are the signs of the arrival of Kalki Avatar

THE ASCENDANT OF THE KALKI AVATAR

The Ascendant of the Kalki Avatar will be Purva Ashada which comes under the Kumbha Rashi (Aquarius zodiac sign indicating that the Lord will be invincible and achieve an early victory.

THE POSITIONS OF SUN AND MOON ACCORDING ASTROLOGY

During the descent of the Lord, the moon will be in Dhanishta Nakshatra, the symbol of prosperity, fame and quick action and the sun will be in Swati Nakshatra or the Nakshatra of the sword.

Jupiter will be in Purva Ashada Nakshatra in the Sagittarius zodiac sign. Saturn will be exalted in the Libra suggesting a perfect balance between justice and the sword. Ketu will be in Scorpio indicating that he will be mounted on top of a great white horse.

Predictions say that when the Kalki Avatar descends, the three rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati would have returned to heavens meaning that they would have dried completely.

THE EARLIEST REFERENCE TO KALKI AVATAR

The earliest reference to Kalki Avatar is found in the Mahabharata, the greatest epic of India. In a conversation, Rishi Markandeya tells Dharmaja, the eldest of the Pandava that Kalki will be born to Brahmin parents. He would have excelled in warfare, sports and academics. He will be a very powerful and highly intelligent young man.

HE WILL STAY IN SRI LANKA

Kalki Purana says that for some time, Kalki Avatar will stay in Simhala Dweep meaning Sri Lanka before returning to India. The Purana presents in detail the feats he will accomplish on the earth, the annihilation of the Kali Purusha by Kalki and the ascent of the incarnation to the heavens after the accomplishment of the divine purpose.

SIGNS OF THE ARRIVAL OF KALI

Most humans will start consuming non-vegetarian foods and women will speak in an impolite way refusing to honor their husbands and engaging in illicit sexual connections. Average life span of people will come down drastically and girls will attain puberty at a very young age. Husbands and wives will not be happy with each other. People will not believe in places of worship. Earth will become hotter and stars will lose their shine.

THE MOST EAGERLY AWAITED INCARNATION

The arrival of Kalki will cleanse the world from all its sorrows and evils and therefore the world expects it with a lot of expectation and eagerness. His arrival will mark the end of the Kaliyug and the start of the Krita Yug (Satya Yug).
