People are getting annoyed by the fraud on gold are now getting rid of. Because the government is going to mandate the Hallmark tag for the sale of gold ornaments from next year. Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has given this information on Friday.

Paswan said that all gold products must be tagged with a hallmark tag from January. Most Indian people understand the correctness of gold according to the carat, therefore the carat value will be recorded with gold jewelery with 916 marks.

Paswan has said these things on the occasion of Conference on World Standards Day organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards. He said that the gold sold in the country would be 14, 18 and 22 carats. People who buy gold ornaments just yet cannot know the quality of them.

“All gold products to be sold in India should be under Hallmarking regulations from January next year. As most Indians understand purity of gold in terms of carat, gold ornaments bear not just the Hallmarking value (such as 916 or 958) but also their carat value too,” Union Minister for Consumer Affairs Ram Vilas Paswan told reporters on a seminar to mark World Standards Day here on Friday.
