The God of cricket, the master blaster of Indian cricket Sachin Tendulkar turns 44 as he celebrates his born day today. The Little master was born back in 1973 in Bombay is considered as the greatest batsmen of all time. With his performance, hard work and effort in the field of cricket he has achieved numerous records, titles, and awards. He is one of the popular Indian batsmen all over the world.  

When he was sixteen years old he made his Test debut against Pakistan in Karachi in 1989. He played for India for almost twenty-four years before he took retirement from the Game. He is the only player to have scored one hundred international centuries, the first batsman to score a double century in a One Day International, he has a record of the number of runs in both ODI and Test cricket and also the only player to complete more than 30,000 runs in international cricket. 

He has also received many reputed awards of India. In 1994 he got  Arjuna Award, in 1997  Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan awards in 1999 and 2008 Bharat Ratna award receiver.

Talking about his personal life at the age of 22 in 1995 he tied the knot with  Anjali, a pediatrician. His wife is a six-year elder to him but that doesn't count how much they love each other. The couple has two children Sara (born 12 October 1997) and Arjun (born 24 September 1999).

The position which the star cricketer achieved in career has also seen lots of ups and downs whether it may be at performance level or at the Injury level. While playing World cup in 2003 he played the whole series with his index finger being injured. For the treatment, he went to the United States. He asked his doctors that during the surgery not to split palm as it could have affected his batting. Tendulkar was so worried that during the surgery he woke up in middle and asked the doctors to show him his hand.

The 44-year-old has been sponsored by the various number of brands in his time of career. In 2012 he announced his retirement from theOne days international match and in 2013 declared about his retirement from all forms of cricket. He played 664 international cricket matches in total, scoring 34,357 runs.

On the life journey of Sachin Tendulkar a Bollywood movie Sachin: A Billion Dreams has been made which is scheduled to get released on 26th May 2017 this year.
