The recently crowned Miss World Manushi Chhillar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. Manushi has attended the meeting with her parents and brother. "Ms Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2017 calls on PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi," a Press Information Bureau (PIB) tweet declared, along with a photograph of PM Modi with Manushi and her family members. The beauty queen has beautifully appeared in an ivory Anarkali with mix elements of powder pink and beads in threadwork from the famous label Kehia by Kashmir. Manushi donned silver earrings to complete her look with her hair pulled back in a bun.

Before joining PM Modi, the 20-year-old Haryana girl tweeted, "Excited to meet the honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. It's indeed motivational for me to be in the presence of a man I have looked up to." Manushi is the sixth Indian to get the title and the first since after Priyanka Chopra won the crown in 2000.  Manushi was born to doctor parents - father, Dr Mitra Basu Chhillar, is a scientist at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, and mother, Dr Neelam Chhillar, is an associate professor and department head of neurochemistry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences. She completed her studies at St Thomas' School in New Delhi and is pursuing a medical degree at the Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonipat. Manushi plans to return to complete her degree in medicine after completing one year of work with the Miss World pageant organisation that carries out charitable work around the world. But, if offered a good script, Manushi says she is not opposed to entering Bollywood. In fact, she has said that she would love to work with Aamir Khan in a film.
