A last-gasp equalizer by Simon Gougnard of Belgium unused to India wins in their World Cup game as India's Pool C match vs Belgium concluded in a 2-2 draw in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

In the first half, much of the actions were conquered by Belgium. After missing out twice near the beginning in the game, drag-flick whiz Alexander Hendrickx converted in the eighth minute to present Belgium an untimely lead.

India made a heroic comeback after the vary of ends in second half, scoring two goals in the third and fourth quarter throughout Harmanpreet Singh and Simranjeet Singh to take the lead.

But the Indian side defense weakened in the final minutes and approved a late goal when Simon Gougnard scored in the 56th minute to draw level.

However, the draw, enabled world No. 5 India to take the top spot in Pool C earlier to Belgium on goal difference. Both India and Belgium have a win and a draw from two outings.

 On the other hand Canada, South Africa shared points after a 1-1 draw .

Canada and South Africa played out a 1-1 draw in their second Pool C clash at the Kalinga hockey stadium in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
