ICC authorized new Test Championship and ODI League.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently introduced with their new rule of cricket in the past month, now ICC members have agreed in principle for new international Test which will be six series each for every nation and ODI leagues will be eight series for each nation Squad, according to an ICC media press release. The Test series league will see nine teams play six series over two years of period it will be three homes and three away, while the ODI league will be a direct qualification pathway towards the ICC Cricket World Cup and will be contested by the 12 Full Members plus the winners of the current ICC World Cricket League Championship.

Nine-team Test Championship league and 13-team ODI league aims to bring context and meaning to bilateral cricket. Bringing context to bilateral cricket is not a new challenge, but this is the first time a genuine solution has been agreed on. ICC Chief Executive David Richardson added, "This is a major point in time for ICC Members and our collective craving to protect an exciting future for international bilateral cricket. The endorsement of both leagues is the termination of two years of work from the Members who have explored a whole range of options to bring context to every game.

The ODI league will be a direct qualification pathway towards the ICC Cricket World Cup which gives team rightful license to be in that contest and will be competition by the 12 Full Members plus the winners of the current ICC World Cricket League Championship. In the first edition of the league, each side will play four home and four away series each comprising of three ODIs moving to all teams playing each other from the second cycle.
