The renowned fertiliser cooperative federation of the country, Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), has been making sincere efforts towards connecting the farmers across the country via digital media. The company has recently launched a social e-commerce app and web portal, "IFFCOiMandi".
The app has been inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Digital India" initiative. As per the reports, all the new schemes and initiatives of the IFFCO shall be made available on the IFFCOiMandi platform.
The IFFCO eBazar Ltd has made an investment according to its prior strategies in the form of its iMandi app. The company has joined hands with a Company from Singapore, called iMandi Pte Ltd. The company intends to provide each farmer of the country to be benefitted by the facilities in form of digital technologies.
Dr. US Awasthi, the Managing Director of IFFCO asserted, "After spearheading the campaign across India to sensitize the farmers about the use of online and digital transactions, we are proud to come up with an app 'IFFCO iMandi'. It is a "One Stop Shop" for agri inputs and produce, FMCG, electronics, loans, insurance, etc. iMandi will address all needs of the farming community and aims to cater to captive user base of 55 million farmers."
