Indian Premier League 2017: The tenth edition of the IPL has begun from April 5 and the excitement of fans is at peak. The teams participating, players, owners and especially cricket lovers are enjoying the biggest cricket tournament in India. The Grand opening of Indian Premier league happened back in 2008 and it is continuing till now. The IPL season has witnessed lots of ups and downs, victories, fights, team and players best performance, elimination of teams and other things as well.  

The eight teams representing eight states of INDIA are participating and the name of them are Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Lions, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils, Rising Pune Supergiants.


The name of captains of teams under whose leadership the team is playing are Mumbai Indians- Rohit Sharma, Kolkata Knight Riders-Gautam Gambhir, Sunrisers Hyderabad- David Warner, Delhi Daredevils-Zaheer Khan, Gujarat Lions-Suresh Raina, Rising Pune Supergiant- Steven Smith,  Royal Challengers Bangalore-Virat Kohli, Kings XI Punja- Maxwell.

Before the beginning of the VIVO IPL tournament the auction of the players held in which Ben Stokes Sold to Rising Pune Supergiants for INR 14.5 crore making him the expensive player to be sold out in the Auction of VIVO Indian Premier League 2017. While Tymal Sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 12 crore. Meanwhile, there are were many players who were left out unsold and among it was Ishant Sharma who later on was picked up by the Kings XI Punjab.

This season there are Ten venues selected to host the matches and total sixty matches will be played between eight teams who will fight to grab the trophy of VIVO IPL 2017 title on their team name. For the very first time, there is a new change in IPL as in past seasons there used to be a single opening ceremony but this time opening ceremonies at each venue before the start of the first match at the venue is organised.

The performance of the celebrities at the following places are Amy Jackson (at Hyderabad); Shalmali Kholgade and Riteish Deshmukh (at Pune), Bhoomi Trivedi, Sachin-Jigar and Tiger Shroff (at Rajkot); Harshdeep Kaur and Disha Patani (at Indore); Benny Dayal and Kriti Sanon (at Bangalore).

This following season the opening of the Indian Premier League held in Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium where the match played between  Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 35 runs and the man of the match became Yuvraj Singh. The last match of the VIVO IPL series will also be played in Hyderabad as per scheduled.


The very next match of IPL on April 6th was played between Mumbai Indians and  Rising Pune Supergiant at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune where Rising Pune Supergiant won by 7 wickets and a man of the match became  Steve Smith of Rising Pune Supergiant.


The match of the teams is going on daily where excitement and adventure of players and cricket fans can be seen at the utmost level. Details of the Teams: Owner, captain, coach of the respective eight teams

1. Mumbai Indians IPL 2017 Team


This team has managed to become the two-time winner of Indian Premier League and this time in IPL 2017 it is headed under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma while the head coach is Mahela Jayawardene. However, all time favourite Sachin Tendulkar is the mentor of Mumbai Indians. The team is owned by Reliance Industries head wife Nita Ambani who can be seen cheering her team at the matches. Robin Singh – Assistant And Batting Coach, Shane Bond – Bowling Coach, Jonty Rhodes – Fielding Coach, Rahul Sanghvi – Team Manager, Paul Chapman – Trainer and Dr Nitin Patel – Physio are the heads of other departments.

2. Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2017 Team


The team is owned by the king of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan along with another partner as well. It has also with hard work and efforts won the IPL Trophy two times. The team is led by the Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambhir and Jacques Kallis is the coach for VIVO IPL 2017. The other staff of the KKR is Simon Katich – Assistant Coach, Lakshmipathy Balaji – Mentor and Bowling Coach, Mark Boucher – Fielding Coach, W. V. Raman – Batting advisor, Andrew Leipus – Physiotherapist.

3. Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL 2017 Team


The owner of the Sunrisers Hyderabad is Kalanithi Maran, Sun TV Network. The Captain of SRH is Australian player is David Warner while the team is coached by Tom Moody. The other staff which is administrating the team is Muttiah Muralitharan-bowling coach,  SRH mentor is a mentor and  Simon Helmot is the assistant coach.

4. Delhi Daredevils IPL 2017 Team


The team is playing under the leadership of Indian player Zaheer Khan whose owner is is G.M Rao of GMR Group. This VIVO IPL team is being coached by Paddy Upton and Indian Player Rahul Dravid is the mentor of DD. The other staff supporting the team is Pravin Amre (Assistant Coach), Sriram Sreedharan (Assistant Coach), TA Sekar (Bowling Coach) and Sunil Valson (Team Manager).

5. Gujarat Lions IPL 2017 Team


The owner of the team is Keshav Bansal who is the director of Intex Technology.  Suresh Raina is the captain of GL while head coach of the team is Former Australian player Brad Hodge. The additional staff of the team is following Mohammad Kaif -Assistant Coach, Heath Streak is the bowling coach, Lakshmi Narayanan is the high-performance analyst, and Saif Hasan is the physiotherapist.

6. Rising Pune Supergiant IPL 2017 Team


Mahendra Singh Dhoni is used to be the captain of this VIVO IPL team and the position is now took over by the Australian player Steve Smith. The team is owned by Sanjiv Goenka who is the chairman of the “New Rising" The other supporter staff of the team is Stephen Fleming as Head Coach, Hrishikesh Kanitkar as Assistant Coach, Eric Simons as bowling coach and Prasanna Agoram as a performance analyst.

7. Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 2017 Team


The owner of it is considered United Spirits Limited (USL) whose chairman is Vijay Mallya though he resigned from this post so there is no confirmation of who is the owner of the RCB Team. The Indian Team captain and player Virat Kohli is the one under whose captaincy the team is heading though due to injury he is not playing few of the initial matches. The team is being coached by New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori while the other supporting staff of the RCB is Bharat Arun as Assistant Coach, Trent Woodhill as Batting and fielding coach, Allan Donald as bowling coach and Evan Speechly as Physiotherapist.

8. Kings XI Punjab IPL 2017 Team


Last but not the least the Kings XI Punjab is owned by multiple numbers of people i.e from Bollywood actress Preity Zinta to Ness Wadia, Mohit Burman and Karan Paul. The Australian cricketer, Glenn Maxwell is the captain of the  KXIP in the VIVO IPL 2017. The head coach of the team is Virender Sehwag. The other staff of the team is Mithun Manhas as the Assistant Coach, J Arun Kumar as batting coach, R Sridhar as fielding coach, Amit Tyagi as Physiotherapist and Nishant Thakur as the trainer.

Unknown Facts which you don't know that happened in the previous seasons of IPL:


1. Piyush Chawla who is in the Kolkata Knight riders team is the only player in the IPL have not balled a NO Ball. In season 8 of the IPL, he delivered 360 overs.

2. The captain of Kolkata Knight riders is on the second position who has made fastest fifty and along with there is another record of his name he got out on zero maximum time.

3. The record of playing from the maximum team goes to Parthiv Patel. Till date, he has played in IPL from 6 teams i.e ChennaiSuper Kings (2011), Deccan charges(2012), Sunrisers Hyderabad(2013), Royal challengers Bangalore(2014) and Mumbai Indians (2015).

4. The Indian Player Ashoke Dinda with whosoever team played in IPL that team didn't reach to finals.

5. In 2012, Dale Steyn delivered 212 dot balls.

Top 10 Best Players of IPL:


The seasons of IPL season 9 are already over and with the beginning of its tenth edition, the IPL is celebrating its 10th anniversary. In the nine seasons many players played really well from India and as well as from the other countries and included themselves in the list of Top 10 players and whose list is below:

10. Quinton de Kock


The South African player played from Delhi Daredevils and in many of the matches, he played so well that the team won the match.

9. Jasprit Bumrah:


The Indian player has played 31 IPL matches in which he has taken 26 wickets. He is popularly known for how he deliver a Yorker. The baller is also compared with Baller Lasith Malinga.

8. David Warner:


The Sunrisers Hyderabad under the captaincy of David Warner become the championship of Indian Premier League 2016. In the final match played between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal challengers Bangalore he made 93 runs due to which the team won the match against the RCB by 8 runs.

7. AB de Villiers:


AB de Villiers is one of the players who is considered one of the best batsman of the world. He has played 120 matches in the IPL and made 3257 runs.

6. Rohit Sharma:


The Indian Player is the captain of IPL team Mumbai Indians under whose leadership the team has able to won the championship. He has played 142 matches and could make 3874 runs.

5. M.S. Dhoni:


The Former Indian cricket team player has played 143 matches in the IPL and made 3271 runs out of which he made 16 half centuries.

4. Yuvraj Singh:


The king of sixes has proven to be the trump card for Sunrisers Hyderabad. There is a contribution of this Indian player in making the SRH Championship. In the IPL he has played 108 matches and could make 2335 runs.

3 . Suresh Raina:


The Indian player Suresh Raina plays from the Gujarat Lions team in the IPL and till now he played 147 matches in which he made 4098 runs.

2. Chris Gayle:


He is called the King of IPL and plays from the Royal challengers Bangalore team. He has played 92 IPL Matches and made 3426 runs in which 5 centuries and 20 half centuries are included.

1. Virat Kohli:


The Indian Captain Virat Kohli is on the top of the best players of the IPL due to his great performance. He plays from the Royal Challengers and is also the captain of the team. Virat has played 139 matches in the IPL in which he made 4110 runs.
