Losing the toss today at the home ground of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Delhi, batting first, lost 5 wickets in 20 overs and scored a challenging score of 174 runs. The target was achieved by Virat Kohli's captaincy team Royal Challengers Bangalore, with 2 overs remaining  means in 18 overs. From Bangalore, its bowlers, De Villiers, played 90 deliveries in 39 balls. They returned to the pavilion by winning the team. Captain Kohli (30), Anderson (15), D Dock (18) and Mandeep Singh (17) were the other notable contributors. Bolt, Maxwell and Harshal got 1-1 wickets from Delhi.

Rishibha Pant and Shreyas Iyer from Delhi played a scintillating innings and revamped Delhi in a time crisis. After chasing the target of 175 runs, Bangalore got 9 runs on the first strike as the team's first shock. While the second blow opener Dak took 29 runs in the form of a run. In the third wicket, captain Kohli was dismissed by 30 runs.

Earlier, in the beginning of the innings, Delhi looked very fragile, losing the toss, batting first, he missed his two big wickets in a hurry. His opener and captain Gautam Gambhir once again appeared in a bad form. Gambhir contributed 3 runs in 10 balls for the team. He became the victim of Umesh Yadav as the first wicket. After the captain's wicket fell, Jason Roy came in for speeding the team but he also failed to play a big innings and he was going cheaply on the ball of the team's star bowler Chahal. Young batsman Rishabh Pant played a swinging innings for Delhi. He scored 85 runs in 48 balls in his explosive manner.
