IPL 2018: Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 14 runs

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], May 18 (NT): In the 51th match of Vivo IPL 2018, played between RCB and SRH, Cricketers AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali both struck half-centuries to drive the Kohali-led Royal Challengers Bangalore to win over the table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad by 14 runs at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Sunrisers Hyderabad asked to bat first, the host team Royal Challengers Bangalore which made 218 runs. Surviving a scare from Sunrisers skipper Kane Williamson who scored 81 off 42  while Manish Pandey  made 62 off 38.

On the other hand RCB's AB De Villers also manipulated the fielders and bowlers skillfully along with Moeen Ali in a 107-run partnership off 57 balls

Chasing the massive target of 218 Sunrisers slipped to 64 for 2 in eight overs .

Sunrisers needing 20 off the death over, Williamson jumped across off stump and hollowed out Siraj's first ball straight into the lap of Colin de Grandhomme at the edge of the fine leg boundary.

In addition, Siraj got away with four runs and a leg bye off the last five balls.

Parthiv Patel broke off the first ball to the right of short cover, but Deepak Hooda dropped it.

Although, Patel managed a single run before Sandeep Sharma had him top-edging a pull to fine leg with the last ball of the death over.
