IPL 2018: Indore police seize 3 over IPL betting, 1 managed to flee

On Saturday, as the VIVO IPL 2018 match 44 is being played in Indore, police have busted an IPL betting racket and arrested three persons with electronic gadgets. These gadgets are used to run the operations in Sarva Suvidha Nagar.

Indore Crime Branch police, on Saturday, raided the house in Kanadia police station area and found four persons running the racket. Unfortunately, one of the accused has managed to flee from the spot. According to the reports, police arrested one Bharat Aidasani of Sarva Suvidha Nagar, Prateek Borasi of Ganaraj Nagar and Vikas Verma of Vinobha Nagar.

Police said that the accused have confessed of running the IPL betting racket and identified their accomplice who fled the spot as Mahesh Jinwal of Shyam Nagar. During the police interrogation, accused Bharat confessed of heading the operation. Earlier Bharat was a two-wheeler mechanic and got into gambling with the person named Imran. But after splitting from Imran he started his own operation. 

While the other accused are identified as Vikas as a tattoo artist and Prateek as a graphic designer. From the spot police had recovered nine mobile phones, a register containing records of transactions worth lakhs of rupees, LCD TV and Rs 5130 from their possession.

According to the police officials, the accused were booked under relevant sections of IPC. And the attempts are being made to trace the fourth accuse.
