New Delhi [India], July 30 [NT]: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief 65-year-old Imran Khan will take oath as Pakistan PM on August 11 as per the reports. As Khan has emerged as the single largest party in the National Assembly (NA) after the recently concluded July 25 elections in which PTI bagged 116 seats, but it was still short of numbers to form the government on its own because the magical number is 137.

Imran Khan today s that he will take oath as Pakistan's Prime Minister on August 11, according to a media report.

“His party yesterday announced that it is trying to reach out to smaller parties and independents to form the next government.Will take oath as Prime Minister on 11th of next month (August),” the cricketer turned politician Khan was quoted as saying by Radio Pakistan.

Prior this , PTI spokesman Naeemul Haque on Saturday told reporters that party president Khan will take oath as the Prime Minister before Independence day  (August 14).

He said that he hoped the president would call an assembly session and Khan would take oath as the prime minister of Pakistan prior to Independence Day.

However the PTI has emerged as the single largest party in the National Assembly after the general polls, the final outcomes issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) show that the party is still short of numbers to form its government alone.

According to the outcomes the PTI has captured 116 general seats and 22 short of simple majority whereas the PML-N and PPP have bagged 64 and 43 seats, respectively.
