Polling concludes on Wednesday in the neighboring country of Pakistan for the general elections. Soon after the polling ended, the counting of votes began in the whole country. By late night, Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has emerged as the largest party in trends. However, the Assembly of Pakistan is still going to be decided finally.

In the trends still trailing 119, PML (N) 56, PPP is leading in 34 seats. Apart from this, other candidates are going forward in 58 seats. Trends in 267 seats in 272 seats have come up so far. Shahbaz Sharif of PML (N), Bilawal Bhutto of PPP, Fazal ur Rehman of MMA, Siraj-ul-Haq of Jamaat-e-Islami have lost their seats in the elections.

PML (N) accuses the election commission of PAK

Since retreating in trends, Nawaz Sharif's party PML (N) has been accused of rigging in elections. Nawaz Sharif's younger brother Shahbaz Sharif alleges that these elections are the most dishonest elections in the history of Pakistan. He said that Imran Khan has been keeping an eye on elections with fraud. Many of our supporters were expelled from the counting place. He alleged that there was a huge amount of disturbances on the counting of votes.

Will Imran become PM?

According to Imran's opponents, his party has the support of the army and intelligence organization 'Inter-Services Intelligence' (ISI), due to which it is said that he has a slight edge against his opponents. Khan claims that he will make the 'new Pakistan' by defeating the traditional political parties of the country so far.

Hafiz's party is not even on the list

Hafiz Talha and son-in-law Khalid Waleed, son of Mastermind Hafiz Saeed of the Mumbai attack are also in the fray. Both of them are included in 260 candidates, who have registered for the 'Allah-O-Akbar Tehrik' candidate in 2011. However, Hafiz's party has not won a single seat and neither is he looking forward to anything.

Voting started at 8 in the morning at 85,307 polling stations in the country and continued till 6 pm. Although major parties, including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had demanded an hour to increase voting time, the door of polling stations was closed by at 6 pm.

According to the Geo News report, the parties complained about the slow voting process and demanded more time for the voters, which was rejected by the Election Commission. There was violence in the election campaign, in which three candidates were killed in the targeted attacks. In Quetta, 37 people died in a suicide bombing outside the polling booth.

Although in Pakistan this time, 10.6 million registered voters came out of their homes to cast their votes, including a large number of women who had previously avoided voting for various reasons. 12,570 candidates are in the fray for the total 849 seats in the national and provincial assembly elections in the 11th general election of the country.
