In Kolkata 4-year-old girl assault case: School reopen tomorrow

 

A four-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by the two Physical Education teachers in the school campus, the school will get reopened on Thursday, big protests done by the parents against the school and demanding to arrest the principal also with that two male teacher.Discharging the school's principal from her duties, the school on Wednesday had announced that the classes will be a resume from the next day, a guardians' assembly member said.

The declaration came after a daylong meeting between the school authorities, the guardians' assembly, senior officers of Kolkata Police, members of the state Child Rights Commission and other stakeholders on Wednesday evening.School authorities, earlier, had declared a sudden closing from December 4 onwards until further notice.Parents, however, demanded the re-opening of school as senior classes were scheduled to appear for internal assessments.A four-year-old girl child was allegedly sexually abused in the school by two Physical Education teachers on November 30. The child's mother found the blood stain on her uniform while she came to pick her from the school.

A day after the incident, two Physical Education teachers were arrested by the Kolkata Police and​ sent for two days police custody. And after that school administration has suspended both the teachers.The victim's parents have filed a complaint at the Jadavpur Police station, demanding the immediate arrest of the principal of the school for allegedly suppressing facts about the incident and for not taking preventive measures despite a similar assault three years ago.
