India-Bhutan celebrates the golden jubilee of Diplomatic Ties

At a special ceremony in Delhi at Royal Bhutanese Embassy India and Bhutan marked 50 years of diplomatic ties. India-Bhutan Ties that have blossomed with each passing day.

Special and privilege partnership requires special dealings. To mark the 38th birthday of the king of Bhutan and 50 years of India Bhutan diplomatic ties a special event was held at the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Delhi.

EAM talking head Raveesh Kumar took his twitor handle to greet the Bhutanese FM and Indian EAM as saying,” Welcoming a friend! EAM @SushmaSwaraj met the Foreign Minister of Bhutan Lyonpo Dorji. The two leaders reviewed the commemmorative activities planned to celebrate the golden jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India & Bhutan, among other bilateral issues”, Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

The entire event was led by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Bhutanese FM  Dorji where Special stamps were released to mark the event.EAM said proudly of special ties between the 2 countries.

Bhutan FM says compact foundation between India & Bhutan has bloomed. A ceremonial cake was also cut.  Worth mentioning here Bhutan has opened its consulate in Assam this year.

The Bhutanese Foreign Minister is on a 3-day visit to India. As a close friend and neighbor, Bhutan has the benefit of diplomatic and military support from India.
