Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah today warned the PM Modi led Central Government to clarify its stand on Article 35 A and 370.

Abdullah said in a serious tone that if the central government does not clarify its stand, then his party will boycott the next assembly and Lok Sabha elections along with the Panchayat elections. Farooq Abdullah was speaking at an event in Srinagar. However, NC has already announced the boycott of the upcoming Panchayat elections in the state on the issue of 35A. On the other hand, Abdullah also commented on the Navjot Singh Sidhu  hugplomacy with the Pakistan Army Chief.

He says that manner in which media targeted Sidhu shows there are elements which don't want India-Pakistan relations to improve. He adds that there's vested interest, both in India and Pakistan, which don't want peace in both countries. He asserts, “for people of J&K, India-Pakistan friendship is essential”.

On the sour and bitter relation between India and Pakistan He tells that if we're friends with our neighbor, both of us will prosper.

“When an RSS leader like Vajpayee can go to Pakistan as the PM and say he's the leader of people in India and India accepts Pak as a nation and wants to strike friendship with them...If we're friends with our neighbour, both of us will prosper”. He hopes that PM thinks about it and works for nation.
