India TV 's Rajat Sharma elected as NBA president

The very well- known face and name of the media industry Rajat Sharma who is a founder and chairman of IndiaTV, has been unanimously elected as the president of the News Broadcasters Association ( NBA). On the other side MV Shreyams Kumar, a whole-time director, Mathrubhumi Printing and Publishing Co, has been named as vice-president by replacing MK Anand, MD, and CEO of Times Now. 
On this note, Rajat Sharma said that " He is thankful for electing him as a president of the NBA. He also pledged by saying that, As President"  I hereby take the opportunity to reassure members that we shall walk together in bringing in more credibility and independence to the news broadcasting industry. I shall put my best efforts to make the fraternity more accepting of our contemporaries, striving for healthy competition."
The NBA association was working without any president since Ashish Bagga, who is the group CEO, India Today Group, resigned from the company on July 31, 2017. Whereas Ashish Bagga joined the NBA in mid-term after Ashok Venkatramani, Former CEO, ABP News Network, had resigned after a very little time period from the organization after being elected president of NBA. 
Rajat Sharma served as the president of the NBA from 2014 to 2016 after replacing the position of Venkatramani.
