Balasore: India got one more success as the Strategic Forces Command (SFC) of Indian Army successfully test-fired its nuclear capable missile Prithvi-II on Saturday night. This missile is capable of destroying target as far as 350 KM.

It is a great success for the India as this nuclear-capable surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile Prithvi-II. This missile is also equipped with state-of-the-art guidance system. This missile is also capable of carrying 500 to 1,000 kG of warheads and is thrusted by liquid propulsion twin engines. The advanced inertial guidance system with manoeuvring trajectory to hit its target is used in this missile.

According to a defense official this surface-to-surface missile was launched from a mobile launcher and from launch complex-3 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur near Balasore around 8.30 pm.

This missile Prithvi II designed and developed by DRDO is of strike range of 350 KM is already inducted in the Armed Forces.
