Due to the tremendous performance of fast bowlers including  Jaspreet Bumrah India ended the first innings of England on the score of 246 runs on the first day of the fourth cricket Test match on Thursday.  Indian batsman made 19 runs without loss so far.

England's batsmen have not been able to face the Indian fast bowling attack. There was  longest 81-run partnership for the seventh wicket between all-rounder Moin Ali and Sam Curran. For India, Bumrah got three wickets and gave 46 runs in 20 overs while Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and spinner R Ashwin got two wickets each. Hardik Pandya took one wicket.

England's score was 86 with the loss of 6 wickets. Indian bowlers thrashed England's four wickets for 57 runs at lunch. India had scored 19 runs without loss in four overs till the end of the first day's play. Shikhar Dhawan (3) and K. Rahul Rahul (11) are playing.

England won toss

England won the toss and decided to bat first, but the English batsmen could not make a good start. Keaton Jennings (0) got out in the third over. In the fifth over, Ishant made out to Route (14). Captain Alastair Cook (17) could not stay too long. Pandya kept him in the third slip and he was caught out by Captain Virat Kohli. Bumrah hit Jeremy Bairsta in the 13th over to give England another blow.

In the second session, England made 82 runs and India got two wickets. After lunch, Jos Buttler (24) got caught by Shami in the slip by Captain Virat Kohli. Ben Stokes scored 23 runs in 79 balls. Shami hit him with brilliant swings. After this, Ali and Qureen held a front till tea time. Jaspreet Bumrah hit some fine balls and took two wickets for 35 runs but could not break these ties. England took 100 runs in the 39th over. Ashwin along with Bumrahah broke Ali's partnership in 60th over. Ali scored 40 runs.

Kuran scored 78 runs which is the highest score for England and he was the last batsman to be dismissed. Ashwin bowled him.
