India will support every country to make a TB-free world: PM Modi at End TB Summit

 Today PM Narendra Modi addressed at ‘End TB Summit’. He also explained his Govt's 'new approach' towards healthcare.

 He asserted that India's focus on curative, promotive and preventive ways of healthcare like Ayurveda and yoga has been recognized around the world.

 “The pace with which the program to eradicate TB in the nation was moving forward earlier, it would have taken us another 40 years to achieve it. Today I'm confident that in the duration of 1 year we'll be able to achieve 90% immunization, “said PM Modi at 'End TB Summit' in Delhi

Several ministers from all states and concerned officers are present in the event here. PM Modi indicated that we, as ‘Team India’, are determined to eradicate TB from India.

“I would like to announce that we have set the aim to eradicate TB from India by 2025” , PM Narendra Modi gave assurance at 'End TB Summit' in Delhi.

“We have not been successful in curbing Tuberculosis yet. I believe that if something doesn't yield result even after 10-15 years then we need to change our approach. The situation needs to be analyzed, “ PM Modi added.

“Between TV and TB, it's easier to move away from the latter”, PM Modi asserted.

 PM also informed that with the principle of 'treat every TB patient best at the very first opportunity', the Govt is engaging the private sector in its schemes and policies.
