Now the light bullet-proof jacket will save the Indian soldiers from the bullets of  AK-56. The OEF (Ordnance Equipments Factory) Kanpur has created a light bulletproof jacket for the troops. The jacket weighing 9.5 kg has been made from Alloy called Mithani. This jacket was given to the BSF do that they can test it.

Sources said that on March 5 this jacket was given to DG BSF. During this period it was to be tested in four phases. Apart from the front and rear, it has been tested on the bullet killed by targeting the fragile organs of the body like heart, lungs, kidneys etc.. These three have been successful. Now the only side guard is left to be tested. 

Carbon nanotechnology is used in making the jacket. Soft and hard arm plates at three levels are used in the jacket to protect the army. They will help in keeping body parts more secure. Carbon nanotechnology has been used in this. Usually, the bullet proof jacket weighs more than 10-13 kg. It has been claimed that this jacket will protect the soldiers from the bullets of the carbine, AK 47 and AK-56 and now bullets will not be able to attack the Indian security forces.
