The Indian Women's cricket team registered a win against South Africa in the fifth T20 match by 54 runs. With the victory, India has also won the series by 3-1.

India's victory is credited to the mixed attack by batting and bowling department. Mithali Raj scored a half century which marked her 13th T20 half century while Jemimah Rodrigues scored 44 runs and put up a score of 166 losing four wickets in 20 overs.

Shikha Pandey, Rumeli Dhar, and Rajeshwari Gayakwad took three wickets each and maintained a constant bowling attack not letting the South African team gain momentum in the match and finally winding up their innings at a score of 112.

The South African team were slow since the start of the match and scored merely 56/5 in ten overs followed by a score of 99/6 at fifteen overs and finally succumbed at a score of 112 in 17.6 overs.

Jemimah Rodrigues missed a chance to become the second youngest player to score a half century in a T20 match. She is 17 years and 172 days old currently.

After the amazing victory of the women cricket team, the nation looks forward to the Indian men's cricket team's match against South Africa which is scheduled at 9:00 PM IST.
