Dr. Achyut Reddy, an Indian-origin psychiatrist from Telangana in the United States on Thursday was stabbed to death in Kansas. In the Miryalaguda town of the Nalgonda district of Telangana, the parents of Dr. Reddy lives.

For the last 25 years, he had been working as a psychiatrist in Wichita, Kansas. His brother informed that he was living with his wife, two daughters, and a son.

The victim's father Bhadra Reddy told ANI that "He had been working there since 1960. He completed his academics in Nalgonda and Hyderabad. From there, he migrated to the U.S. He has been there only since then," 

"I came to know about the incident this morning that he was dead when somebody attacked him. Our family is shocked. My brother is very close to my heart. I am left alone," said Aravind Reddy.

Dr Achyut Reddy had completed his MBBS from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad in 1986 and 1989 shifted to the US for higher studies in 1989.
