Compared to last year, there has been a 22% increase in bookings made for foreign travel this winter season. This information was revealed in a report. Winter is generally considered to be a good weather for Indian travelers. 

18% increase in domestic holidays: Karan Anand, chief of travel company Cox and Kings, said that more and more Indian people plan and travel this season. There has been the significant increase in winter bookings. This year, compared to last year, bookings made to celebrate the stalls abroad have increased by 22 percent. Simultaneously, the booking of domestic destinations was noticed. Bookings for domestic holidays have increased by almost 18 percent. 

Travellers increase from Diwali to New Year: The company's report said that the winter season starts from Diwali in October / November to Christmas and New Year. At this time the travelers search for places according to their interest and plan to celebrate holidays. 

Indian like to go these countries: According to the report, Europe has been liked as a holiday destination for winter. Subsequently, Dubai, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa are the preferred places of people. Quoting the report, Anand said that the demand for visas on arrival in countries where it is short of receiving visas is good for weekend visits. These include Dubai, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. In the domestic tourist destinations, Kerala, Andaman, Rajasthan, Goa and Himachal Pradesh are ahead.
