“Indian private sector has invested $54 billion in the African countries”: PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi with other BRICS leaders at the 'Special Retreat Session' said, “I am convinced that our innovative ideas and effective steps would help to strengthen BRICS cooperation and set a future direction”.

Earlier PM Narendra Modi arrived at Sandton International Convention Centre to participate in the BRICS-Africa outreach and the BRICS plus outreach.

Worth mention here the 10th edition of BRICS Summit, themed “BRICS In Africa” aims to foster inclusive growth, shared prosperity and the fourth industrial revolution.

“From past 4 years my Govt has given priority to development and peace in Africa. We have give line of credits worth $11 billion to more than 40 countries and Indian private sector has invested $54 billion in the African countries”, PM Modi at 10th BRICS summit in Johannesburg.

On Thursday, PM Narendra Modi,  attended a meeting with Vladimir Putin the President of Russia, as per the sidelines of BRICS summit..
The PM had already visited Sochi earlier and recently he asserted, that the friendship between India and Russia is progressing.

PM Narendra Modi asserted that he is  happy to have this opportunity to meet you(Putin)again and India will always remember my visit to Sochi, especially the time  spent by two leaders.

PM Modi added, "I think this demonstrates that friendship between India and Russia is moving forward in all its closeness.”
