Indian wrestler Bajrang wins Gold in 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games

In the men's freestyle 65kg final of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games at Ashgabat in Turkmenistan last evening the  Indian wrestler Bajrang with his great performance beat Daichi Takatani of Japan.

On the ninth day of the games on Sunday the Indian players added four medals including a gold medal in their side. The women wrestlers Sheetal Tomar in freestyle -48kg category and Navjot Kaur in freestyle -69kg event clinched a bronze medal each.

In the men's standard individual chess India added one more bronze to its side through Krishnan Sasikiran. India now stands with six gold, seven silver and 11 bronze.

In the games, more than  200 athletes in 15 sports are representing India which is said to be the second biggest multi-sporting event of the continent after the Asian Games.

On Saturday India won four more medals to clinch the 11th place in the games.  In the Men's 100-metre butterfly the Indian Sajan Prakash finished second with a silver medal.

In the women's Alysh classic in 70 kg and 75 kg categories in the Belt Wrestling Discipline players, Divya Gurling Shilwant and Pratiksha Chandrakant Parhar won the bronze medal each while in the Kazakh Kuresh style belt wrestling in 90 kg weight category the Wrestler Keduovilie Zumu from Nagaland won the Bronze medal.
