Indian Army, on Monday, thwarted an attempt of infiltration into India from the Pakistani side while the Pakistani Army was firing to facilitate the infiltration.

At around 5 PM on Monday evening, Pakistani Army violated ceasefire and started heavy firing. The Indian forces retaliated with crossfire. It was at this time when the soldiers spotted a movement along the Line of Control. The soldiers started firing at the intruders leaving one dead and other two injured, who then went back to Pakistani post, according to a statement by Indian Army.

The dead terrorist was heavily armed and was carrying a virtual arsenal, which included rocket launchers, several categories of grenades, Molotov cocktails and a large amount of ammunition.

“It is clear that Pakistan has never been interested to bring about peace and stability in J&K. They have been vitiating the atmosphere both along the LoC & hinterland. The army is keeping a strict and constant vigil across the LoC and all security personnel are prepared to thwart any nefarious designed of Pakistan sponsored militants,” said Lt Colonel Anand

“We will also be offering to hand over body of the slain intruder to Pakistan Army” said Lt Colonel Anand.

However, the Pakistani Army has denied the body of the three terrorists killed during the Sunjuwan Attack.
