Music also helps us to enhance our mental power in different ways.

However, we daily listen to our favourite songs but music also has a special day on his name that is the longest day in a year, 21st June as World Music Day. Its origin can be traced back in France and America. In the French language, it is termed as "Fête de la Musique" and it is believed that first time the day was celebrated on the day of summer solstice by Jack Lang, the French Minister of Culture in 1982. And later it is adopted by other countries. As per another an American Musician named Joel Cohen, organized a musical event in France for the whole night to mark the summer solstice and then further all countries followed the trend to celebrate the special day.

Currently, around 120 countries celebrate the day including nations like India, UK, Japan, Canada, Mexico, etc. The day was celebrated with the purpose to organize music events at free of cost on streets so that everyone can have access to all kind of music and no one will spare from such a wonderful thing on at least one day. It also serves the purpose of maintaining peace all over the world.

With the belief that the day will fulfil its purpose successfully and make the longest day the most enjoyable and happy. Happy World Music Day!
