Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is on a three-day visit to India, landed Delhi on late Friday evening.

The ceremonial reception on Saturday has been accorded to President Rouhani at Rashtrapati Bhavan following a call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind.

EMA talking head Raveesh Kumar said “Relationship spanning millennia and marked by civilizational and cultural bond. Warm welcome extended to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani who arrived in Delhi on State Visit at the invitation of PM @narendramodi. #DustemanIran,” he tweeted.

Both Iranian and Indian sides would take revaluation of the progress achieved in bilateral ties and also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Earlier a day in his address at a congregation of Muslims after performing Friday prayers at the historic Makkah Masjid in Hyderabad  IranianPrez stressed upon the cooperation between India and Iran in a bid to encourage the bilateral ties and also called for unity among Muslims across the world.
