Italian staff greats guest in Konkani and Hindi at the DeepVeer wedding

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding is breaking the internet. The social media is filled with photos of the couple. First, the Ramleela couple got married in a four-hour long Konkani-Brahmin ritual and a day later, Deepika and Ranveer exchanged vows according to the Anand Karaj ceremony. But you know what was common in both these days- well, it was Deepika and Ranveer’s stunning bride and groom look.

While Day 1 of the DeepVeer wedding followed the Konkani rituals, Day 2 followed all the traditional Sindhi rituals. The wedding ceremony, known as Anand Karaj in Sikh, included a makeshift Gurudwara at the Villa Del Balbianello so much so that a priest who was flown from Amritsar for the ceremony. The wedding was a lavish affair- from the delicious food to the beautiful décor, everything was, like they say, on fleek during the wedding. For the Konkani wedding, the bride side were dressed in traditional South Indian attire. While the cuisine included a lavish Mangalorean feast and food was served in the traditional banana leaves. Not only this, according to a reports, the Italian staff was fully trained in Hindi and Konkani and the staff was seen greeting the guests at the wedding in Hindi and Konkani. Also, the Italian service staff was fully trained with the names of the Indian dishes on the menu. 

After their dreamy wedding, the couple will be hosting two receptions- one in Bengaluru and one in Mumbai on November 21 and 28 respectively.
