Janadriyah festival: Sushma Swaraj emplanes to Saudi Arabia

Sushma Swaraj enplaned to Saudi Arabia Visit which is scheduled from 6-8 February. Here, she will inaugurate a prestigious festival ‘Janadriyah’ of the Gulf nation, the external affairs ministry said on Sunday.

Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Gulf kingdom in 2016.

“EAM @SushmaSwaraj emplanes on her first-ever visit to Saudi Arabia. During the visit, she will meet with the Saudi leadership and participate at the inauguration of the prestigious ‘Janadriyah’ festival being held in Saudi Arabia, at which India is the guest of honour country,” Raveeh kumar  talking head of EAM tweeted.

Saudi National Festival for legacy and Culture 32nd Janadriyah will start on Wednesday 7 Feb under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and held by the Ministry of the National Guard. In addition to the annual grand camel race, Janadriyah is considered one of the most important national events that depict Saudi Arabia's history.

During a press talks, Minister of the National Guard and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the National Festival for Heritage and Culture, Prince Khaled bin Abdulaziz bin al-Ayaf, informed about the activities and programs of the festival, in presence of Indian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.Indian EAM  Sushma Swaraj will serve as this year's guest of honor at this Janadriyah festival 2018.
