Washington D. C. [USA]: United States President Donald Trump congratulated Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on massive current electoral victory since his ruling alliance secured a two-thirds majority in the Lower House.

The Duo of leaders emphasized the importance of a free and open Indo-Pacific region, and a well-built United States-Japan coalition.

US President Trump reasserted his well wishes to continue working strongly with his Japanese counterpart and said he is going to visit Japan in early November.

During the snap elections, the Liberal Democratic Party-Komeito bloc succeeds to win312 seats in the 465-member Lower House, accordingly providing momentum to Abe's drive to modify the supreme code for the first time as it won force 70 years ago.

In an interview with local media post the election, Abe asserted that his ruling coalition alone won't call for a referendum on constitutional revision, but as a substitute seek cooperation from other parties. He also said he would replicate upon his win in terms of whether it represents a public mandate, reports said by The Japan Times.

Earlier last month, Abe had disbanded the Lower House of the parliament and called for polls afresh to refurbish his directive in the face of the rising menaced threat from North Korea.
