Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding bilateral talks with his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau in the national capital New Delhi on Friday. It is expected to many key agreements to be signed to boost India-Canada ties with a focus on counterterrorism.Modi and Trudeau exchanged views on mass issues, including defense and security, counter-terror cooperation, trade and investment and tackling climate change.

India-Canada ties are also likely to thought-out on boosting cooperation in the civil nuclear division.

In Delhi, EAM Sushma Swaraj had a warm meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau and talked about ways to strengthen and deepen India-Canada partnership.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau inspected the guard of honour at Rashtrapati Bhawan and warmly received by Prime Minister Modi.

India-Canada to ink key agreements on counterterrorism.

The bilateral talks have focus on trade, defense, civil nuclear cooperation, space, climate change and education.

Delegation level talks are also being held, with a number of agreements expected to be signed in several areas between India- Canada.

The Canadian Prime Minister, who is on a week-long State visit, landed in Delhi on Thursday where he attended a reception dinner at Canadian High Commission here. He expressed that it's an absolute pleasure for him to be here in India.
