Rameswaram: Tamil Actor-turned-Neta Kamal Haasan gears up to launch his political party on Wednesday here.

The Tamil Icon greeted the mob outside the hotel where he was residing and said he is going to lay a hand upon everything on his political journey on Wednesday. He is likely to address the fishermen after visiting former president A P J Abdul Kalam's residence here and receive blessings from the late leader's elder brother.

Speaking at the press Meet, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's grandson, Sheikh Dawood said during Haasan’s visit to the former president of India's abode in Rameswaram, Kamal told he shared Kalam's vision, “he shares Kalam's vision to talk about development politics”.

Speaking to fishermen, Tamil actor Kamal Haasan said, "Fishing is one of the most important livelihood options in Tamil Nadu, That's why I have come to visit you. I want to understand your issues and take it forward."

Hassan was on Tuesday greeted by his supporters in Rameswaram where he is programmed to embark his political foray and launch the party in Madurai where the yatra will get the conclusion, about 170 km from the island. His followers raised watchwords "Hail Varungala Muthalvere"(future chief minister) Hail Kamal Haasan" as he landed here in his native Ramanathapuram district in southern Tamil Nadu.
