“I was subjected to physical violence and exploitation”: says Kangana

Queen famed Kangana Ranaut always remains in limelight, sometimes due to her tremendous work with monumental storylines of her movies and sometimes because of her remarks on topics like feminism and women empowerment.

This time the actress well known for her struggle in Bollywood without any such family background have revealed a terrific part of her life. In an interview to Cosmopolitan Kangana anecdotes that she has faced “physical violence and exploitation” during her childhood and that’s the reason she emerged as a successful person in her life by fighting all those ill elements with her strength and wisdom.

She stated: “Everything I have been through has made me the person I am today. But when I was very young, a minor, I was subjected to physical violence and exploitation. That shouldn't have happened. But when I look back, I feel that the person I am today is the result of the strength, wisdom and kind of understanding of myself and my character, which was brought about at a young age being subjected to such extreme circumstances.” Further, she added that “It is the result of extreme pain and humiliation that I had to go through. I think if I had to exchange that with someone else, I would rather have that experience. I wouldn't want anyone to go through physical abuse,"

On the work front, the actress is now in London for the shooting of 'Mental Hai Kya' which also stars Rajkummar Rao. The Prakash Kovelamudi directorial is a psychological thriller. Her another project 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' that have stars like Ankita Lokhande and Sonu Sood and directed by Krish reportedly set to release in August.
