Since from a long time, we have heard our thin friends following strict diet plant with no caffeine. And by hearing their advice we have eventually given up on our life-saver just to lose some few extra kilos. Our classic Indian chai has been criticised for a long time for being 'unhealthy'.
Cut to 2018, a celebrity nutritionist and dietician, has scratched all chai haters theories.
With the coming in of an array of diets, chai has been scraped from most weight loss plans. This is because it contains sugar, milk and caffeine.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s nutritionist has been an advocate of Indian cuisine and beverages and this time it’s no different.
In a social media post, Rujuta has posted about how chai is absolutely healthy and should be consumed with white sugar.
Here is what the health expert has to say about chai:

“Chai/ coffee – to have or not to have -

1. When not to have chai/coffee?
- First thing on waking up
- Last thing before sleeping
- In place of a meal during the day

2. How many cups a day?
2-3 cups are totally fine.

3. Is green tea / green coffee healthier?
No, they are not, only Indian masala chai (with milk and spices) is now being considered as an antioxidant-rich health drink to help recovery.

4. With sugar or sugar-free?
WHO and other global diabetes organizations say 6-9 tsp of sugar a day is ok. Add sugar to your chai/coffee, avoid the invisible sugar from packaged food.
