Congress president Rahul Gandhi commenced the second day of his Karnataka visit on Wednesday. On his tour, he met with Congress leaders, visited temples, and had interactions with students in various public meetings.

He visited the Shringeri Sharadamba Temple in Chikkamagaluru along with other Congress leaders.

On Tuesday, Gandhi had said the policies of Modi-led-Govt are "not inclusive" as he ignored farmers but waived off loans only for big industrialists.

In the public meeting he asserted that though farmers had pleaded for the right Minimum Support Price for their produce, it was not fulfilled because, In contrast, Congress in the state has spent thrice the amount on irrigation projects than the Modi government did for the entire nation.

His comments came a day after when the state cabinet agreed to grant the status of the religious minority to Lingayats and Veerashaivas, who are followers of Basavanna.

Rahul also lauded the state's youth for the IT revolution which they lead in Karnataka.

Addressing another rally in the port city of Mangaluru, Rahul Gandhi said as Modi-led-Govt had only one more year left, he should work towards generating employment to fulfil at least his promise of providing 2 crore jobs during his tenure.
