M.K. Stalin, the president of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has written an emotional note on the demise of his father, M Karunanidhi, on Tuesday.
The erstwhile chief minister of Tamil Nadu was suffering from haematuria (a medical condition in which patient observes blood in the urine) for quite some time and was therefore hospitalized for the same.
He always wore black goggles, since he had an eye issue.
M Stalin, in his letter, wrote, "I have always called you as Thalaivare (Leader). Shall I address you as Appa once at least now?" "Every time you used to tell me the place where ever you go. Now, where did you go without telling me? Where did you go leaving us in the lurch?"
His son Stalin also revealed that Karunanidhi always wanted that when he dies, on his memorial stone, he wanted a statement to be written upon, that would read, "Here lies the person who worked relentlessly throughout his life."
Karunanidhi left the world on Tuesday, in the Kauvery Hospital. It has been informed that he would be given his funeral with complete state honors.
Various political leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, and chief ministers took to various Social sites and also through media, expressed their sorrow on the sad demise of the erstwhile chief minister.
