Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan with all-party delegation to meet PM Modi today

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan along with all-party delegation will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday.

He will describe PM Modi of various issues, especially development projects, pertaining to the state.

 Following a huge political row, A month before Kerala minister and his delegation was denied permission by the PMO to meet PM Modi. An official release statement here on Wednesday stated the delegation would primarily take up the need to develop the allocation of Kerala's ration quota, apprehensions over the deferred Kanjikode coach factory, the Sabari rail project and the state's recommendations on the Kasturirangan report on the Western Ghats.

In addition the ministers concerned, opposition leader in the Assembly Ramesh Chennithala and representatives of different political parties would also be present  along with the delegation.

The all-party delegation, which is led by the CPI(M) had been denied permission to visit Modi in June. The PMO had stated they could meet Food and Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan to talk about the food grains quota issue.

With the bundle of anger on the Centre, Vijayan, in a press meet in New Delhi, had accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of time after time ignoring Kerala and its demands alleging the Centre that it was not paying attention to the country's federal structure.
