Kerala Floods update: Red alert has been issued in all 13 districts except Kasaragod today. Red alert has been issued for tomorrow also in Ernakulam and Idukki districts. 94 people have lost their lives in the floods, according to the reports of  the leading news agency ANI .

Taking a serious note, PM Modi said that he talked about Kerala CM Shri Pinarayi Vijayan and slated to head to Kerala to take stock of the unfortunate situation due to flooding.

 “Had a telephone conversation with Kerala CM Shri Pinarayi Vijayan just now. We discussed the flood situation across the state and reviewed rescue operations. Later this evening, I will be heading to Kerala to take stock of the unfortunate situation due to flooding.”, PM Modi wrote in his official twitter handle.

Meanwhile, 5 units of NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) have reached Thiruvananthapuram this morning and deployed for rescue operations. On the other hand 35 teams are expected to reach there today.

Indian Coast Guard's rescue and relief team from Vandiperiyar has been shifted to the flood-affected Manjumala village. The team has rescued 16 trapped people from the village. Food and dry ration have been distributed among them, rescue operation is in progress.
