Kerala flood: Situation gets worse, 33 died, 6 missing

The heavy rain is becoming fatal for Kerala. The situation in the flood-affected area is getting worse and the toll in the unprecedented rain is reached up to 33 and 6 are missing. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan announced that alertness should be maintained until August 15.

CM Vijayan informed that 33 people have died in the floods & 6 are missing. He further added that Such a destruction has never before been witnessed in the state. The entire state has come together in these circumstances and we are ready to do whatever is necessary.

The central government has assured that it will provide all the possible help to Kerala which has been battered by incessant rains and floods.

The Meteorological Department forecasts a heavy to very heavy rain in eight districts for the next four days. Home Minister Rajnath Singh will also conduct an aerial survey to examine the situation of the flood-affected areas in the state.

IMD has already issued the Red alert and advise people to be cautious as there was a possibility of heavy rain in various places in the state. Disaster Management team already reached to the affected areas to rescue the people. The life of the people has been affected to a great extent.
