New Delhi: Acting on tip off Intelligence agencies suggested that two Khalistani terrorists are planning to attack Parliament House in New Delhi.
Receiving the input, the national capital has been put on high alert. The intel said that the terrorists will reach in Delhi in an explosives-laden white Innova having UP registration number.
The militants have been recognized as Lakhwinder Singh and Parminder Singh. both of them in their late 40s. The two terrorists headed towards Delhi from Nepal border. The duo have received training in assembling IEDs (improvised explosive device).
According to The Times of India, the other inputs also shared where caller identified himself as Iqbal. The call from the number 75349071** was traced to Uttarakhand's Udham Singh Nagar as times now reported. The timing of the alert matched with another alert by the agencies that said that militants could use a stolen car or a government vehicle to take place an IED attack around Independence Day 2018.
As per officials reports, the two names given by the informer looks like the ones sought out in Nabha jailbreak of Punjab in November 2016. Now the officers are being verified if these are the same two men.
