There is no age for learning and reading. 'Jab Jago tabhi savera', this is a Hindi saying fits perfect for some grandmothers of Maharashtra.

There is a new school opened for grannys. This school emphasizes on the "Azo bai chala school" slogan. It is situated in a village in Thane's suburbs.. This school is running with the help of Motiram Dalal Charitable Trust and this unique school has started by Yogendra Bangar. This school is special in its own way because there is no admission for ordinary people here.

Admission is available to only special women, who are at least 60 years old. Only grandmothers study in this school. The school also has a dress code for these old-educated students and that is their pink sari. Women are given pink saris, school bags, slates and chalk-pencil by Motiram charitable trusts. 

At present, 29 women are studying in this school. School is open for six days a week. Two hours of class run every day. In this school, women are taught Marathi language, as well as they are taught to add, subtract, multiply and divide in the subject of mathematics.
