The Micro-Blogging site is on #WomenBoycottTwitter's Top Trend on Twitter on Twitter. This campaign is being supported by women from all over the world including India. Women are leaving Twitter for one day. Starting with New York, the impact of this campaign has also started to appear in India. Let's know what is this #WomenBoycottTwitter and why is the trend? 

#WomenBoycottTwitter The campaign has been started by Hollywood's famous actress Rose McGowan. In her support women from all over the world have come down and made a distance from Twitter for one day. Actually, Twitter had closed the daily account on Thursday. Rose has accused producer-director Harvey Weinstein of rape. He had said, in 1997, Harvey raped them. They had said this on Twitter by tweeting one after another. After this, Twitter had closed their account for 12 hours.

Rega Jha tweeted, "I’m logging off Twitter for 24 hours, starting 9:30 am IST on Friday, to demand better anti-harassment policy. Join us!#WomenBoycottTwitter"

Also, Kelly Ellis tweeted, "#WomenBoycottTwitter Friday, October 13th. In solidarity w @rosemcgowan and all the victims of hate and harassment, Twitter fails to support."

Rose has posted a screenshot of the post on his Instagram account, which has been sent to him from Twitter. Twitter asked to remove their tweets from everyday. Twitter said that daily McGowan's tweets are against Twitter's policies. In the face of this, women from all over the world have opened a front against Twitter.
