Former skipper and cricketer of Sri Lanka Team legendary batsmen Kumar Sangakkara make bold prediction about India captain Virat Kohli notched up 2818 runs across all formats in 2017 who is now the third highest total ever registered in a calendar year overall international matches.

Former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara score in all format total of runs 2868 in (2014) and second on the list is former Aussies skipper Ricky Ponting who score 2833 runs in (2005) occupy the number one and two positions respectively on that list and Virat Kohli is on the third list scoring 2818 runs in this year.

With Kohli rested from ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka due to his wedding held in Italy with Bollywood actress Anuskha, the third Test in Delhi was his last outing of the year.Interestingly, Sangakkara, who continues to hold this unique record, feels that 29-year-old Kohli is bound to overtake him next year and better his own record a year later.

Kumar Sangakkara retweet and praise Indian skipper form and batting consistancy. Not only that but the stylish left-hander Kumar Sangakkara described Kohli as ‘different class’. “I don’t think that will last long the way @imVkohli is batting. He will probably overtake it next year and then do it again the year after. He is a different class,” he tweeted.
