AGRA: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party superemo Akhilesh Yadav has asserted that his party is ready to tie up again with BSP in order to overpower BJP in the 2019 general elections.

Akhilesh was speaking in Mainpuri on Sunday where he unveiled the statue of a former pradhan in Jaurai village of the district. He saidin his address that his party was willing to make a compromise and contest fewer seats if it helped to ensure BJP’s beat in the Ls polls next year.

He stated that we have an alliance with the BSP and it will continue. If we have to sacrifice 2-4 seats to ensure BJP’s beat, we will not back out.

Claiming that the pre-poll grand coalition which won the recently concluded bypolls in UP will continue in 2019 Ls polls battle. Akhilesh said that his party’s motive is to win elections against saffron BJP and for this SP is ready to collaborate with BSP.

Influencing voters, Akhilesh declared that toll tax on Agra-Lucknow expressway will be “removed” for farmers if SP comes in the power in the state.

In a mocking attack on UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s continuing defeats, the SP president said the BJP lost every seat where Yogi campaigned during the recent bypolls.

On a related note BJP lost the last four bypolls in UP to a united opposition including Phullpur and Gorakhpur seat.  Recently they lost the crucial Kairana LS and Noorpur assembly bypolls .
