On Tuesday, the most powerful team on paper Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who have played three games in VIVO IPL 2018. Only single win from three IPL games this season, RCB, currently placed at sixth position in the 2018 IPL points table. RCB enter the contest against the host Mumbai Indians (MI) with unlike overall win / loss ratio of 13:8 and 4:3 ratio at the Mumbai favorite stadium Wankhede which all favoring MI. Despite a famed side, RCB under the leadership of Kohli, have failed to click together as a team. RCB bowlers who came good at their first home game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), were ripped apart in the second home game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) by Sanju Samson’s massacre.

Former Kiwis skipper Brendon McCullum, who is the opening batsmen for RCB. McCullum was dismissed for single figure in the two consecutive match for RCB. A lot has been dependent on opener Quinton de Kock and AB de Villiers who have managed to remove RCB from ruins. Another notable contribution has come from Mandeep Singh lower down the order with scores of 37 runs, 22 runs and brilliant 47 runs from the three innings of this season.

From Proteas, AB De Villiers heaped praise on Rajasthan Royals batsmen young Samson, who single handedly destroy RCB bowling department. He believes Samson could well end up as Orange Cap holder in this IPL: “Sanju Samson played a special innings for RR. I have stayed in contact with him by email for a few years now, and it is great to see an exciting young talent emerging in Indian cricket. How far can he go in the game? Believe me, there is no limit to his potential.”
