On Wednesday, Delhi Daredevil speedster Mohammed Shami got a temporary relief from Kolkata cops to join his IPL franchise Delhi following a three-hour interrogation. Facing summons from Kolkata Police after Hasin Jahan had filed several cases including those of infidelity and domestic violence. Indian speedster was held back here after Delhi's IPL fixture against Kolkata at Eden Gardens.

"We have got no objection in Mohammad Shami joining his IPL T20 side. But if need be, we will be call him again for further investigation," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Praveen Tripathi told reporters after Shami's grilling that lasted a little over three hours. "We can call him anytime but at this point of time, we don't find it is necessary. Indian cricketer is fully cooperating in this case," Tripathi added.

It is learnt that Indian speedster Mohammed Shami will leave tonight to join his franchise Delhi in Bengaluru where Gautam and co. clash against the Kohli’s red-army on April 21. Asked whether they are satisfied with the findings, the police officer said, "Satisfaction is not the answer right now. We examined him professionally, got our answers and after that the investigation will take its course." Shami's elder brother Hasib Ahmed, who was also booked in the case, was also summoned as he checked in about two hours in advance, but both left together after Police inquiry. "The two were interrogated separately as well as together," Tripathi said. On the other hand, Shami’s performance in the IPL is not satisfied for Delhi’s fan. Delhi is now on the bottom of the table with one win in four matches played.
